Every headshot session with Jangle Studio is designed to be more than just a portrait — it’s a collaborative, personalized experience from start to finish. Here’s what you can expect:

• Direction & Posing: You don’t need to know how to pose — I’ll guide you every step of the way, helping you feel relaxed and confident while capturing flattering, natural expressions that convey professionalism and personality.
• Artistic Editing & Curation: Each image is thoughtfully selected and professionally retouched to enhance your features while maintaining an authentic, true-to-you look.
• Proofing & Delivery Timeline: You'll receive an online proofing gallery within a few days of your session. Once you've made your final selections, the fully retouched images will be delivered within two weeks - often sooner.
• Private Online Gallery: Review, select, and download your final images easily. You’ll also have the option to purchase additional photos directly through your gallery if you’d like more than what’s included.

Booking & Process

To ensure a seamless experience:

• Retainer: A 50% retainer and signed agreement are required to reserve your date.
• Final Balance: Due by the session date.
• Gallery Delivery: Turnaround time is 2-weeks after your selections are finalized.

Tips for success:

• Keep it simple and classic: Solid colors photograph best — avoid busy patterns, logos, or overly trendy styles.
• Fit matters: Clothes that are well-fitted (not too tight or loose) generally look best on camera.
• Layering helps: Jackets, blazers, and cardigans add depth and structure.
• Trust your style: If fashion and self-expression are part of who you are, feel free to ignore all the rules above. Bold choices and personal style often make the most memorable and impactful headshots.

3. Grooming & Personal Care

A little attention here makes a big difference in the final result:

• 💈 Hair: Schedule a trim a few days before the session so it looks natural and fresh.
• 💄 Makeup: Keep it natural and true to your everyday look. Avoid heavy contouring or new products you haven’t tried before.
• 🧴 Skin: Moisturize the night before and the morning of your shoot. Men should arrive clean-shaven or with neatly trimmed facial hair.
• 👓 Glasses: If you wear them daily, wear them — just make sure they’re clean.

4. Rest & Hydration

It’s simple but effective:

• Sleep well: A full night’s rest will help you look refreshed and energized.
• Drink water: Staying hydrated in the 24 hours before your session helps your skin look its best.

5. Confidence & Mindset

• Most people feel a little awkward in front of the camera — that’s completely normal. You don’t need to know how to pose; I’ll guide you through natural positions, subtle adjustments, and expressions that feel genuine and confident.
• Think of your headshot session as a collaboration. Show up as yourself and trust the process — confidence and authenticity always translate beautifully in photos.

6. Day-of Tips

• Arrive about 10 minutes early so you’re relaxed and not rushed.
• Bring a small comb or brush, a bit of makeup for touch-ups, and any accessories (like glasses or jewelry) you’d like to include.

7. After Your Session

Within a few days, you’ll receive a proofing gallery to select your favorite images. Once you make your selections, I’ll carefully retouch and deliver the final high-resolution files, ready for web, print, or social media use within 2 weeks.
